1. How do I get tickets to win the Yamaha V Star 1300?

Purchase a Ghost Rider ticket for $25. Draw only, does not include entry to any of the events.
Participants receive 3 tickets for $50 if they register before July 18, 2008.
Participants who register after July 18, 2008 receive 2 tickets for $50.
Attend the Kick Start Party and receive 1 extra draw ticket (Ghost riders excluded)
For every $50 raised in pledges, receive 1 extra draw ticket (Ghost riders excluded)
Total tickets printed: 3,999.
Tickets for extra riders or kids are $50.
The top fundraiser wins a trip, details to be announced.

2. Where is the ride?

The ride starts and ends at Urban Headlights, north of Calgary and will be approximately 150 km’s and should take about 3 hours, including stops. This is an unescorted, mystery ride. You will receive a map at the start and there will be signs along the way to guide you on your journey.

3. Can I bring a passenger on the ride?

Passengers are more than welcome on the ride; however they will be asked to pay the entry fee, and will qualify for a ticket to win the motorcycle.

4. What happens if it rains the day of the event?

This is a rain or shine event, and there will be an indoor facility available for the meal and music.

5. Will alcohol be served?

The Rocky Road Ride will be alcohol-free on Sunday. The Kick Start Party will have alcohol service (must be 18 years + to attend).

7. When does the ride end and the bike draw happen?

The festivities on Sunday will begin around 2:00 pm, with lunch and live music. The draw for the bike will happen at 3:30 pm to allow all participants to be present.

8. Do I have to be present to win the bike?

As we have Ghost Rider tickets available, you will not have to be present to win.

9. Will each donor receive a charitable donation tax receipt?

Yes. If you have personally donated $20.00 or more and clearly print your name on a pledge form line, you will receive a tax receipt.

10. Can I bring my children with me?

The Kick Start Party will be an 18+ event, but children are most welcome as registered participants. Please note that there will be no supervision provided for children and their safety is the responsibility of their parent or guardian. The cost of registering a child is $50.

11. How many people participated in the 2007 ride?

100 people participated in the 2007 ride. Our goal is to have 200 people take part in the 2008 ride.

12. How much money was raised in support of Distress Centre Calgary?

$30,000 was raised in support of Distress Centre Calgary in 2007. Our goal is to raise $60,000 in 2008.

13. Are there any other prizes to win?

The 2nd prize will be a complete riding outfit from Conti Biker Wear. This includes a helmet, jacket, boots and chaps. Estimated value = $1,000
